Arêches is known for its access to the mountains. In winter, it offers some of the best backcountry terrain in France, along with a well-connected ski area. In summer, the same landscape opens up for hiking, cycling, and longer days outside.
It’s an active place, but it remains calm and grounded — more local than resort.
